(6). All strikers arrested to be released.

People banished because of the strike to be allowed to return and take up their old jobs.

(7). All evictions due to the strike to be cancelled and compensation paid.Such tenants to be re-instated. No rents to be paid by the strikera who were out during the strike for that period.

(8). The regulations of lst July re houses are to be abolished. The date from which this is to take x effect to be announced the Government. From that date a reduction of 25% is to be made in rents.

(9). A Committee is to be formed by foreigners and strikers in Hongkong in order to decide on compensation for sufferers due to this and the compensation is to be paid by the Hongkong Government. (10).All trading privileges in force before the strike to be continued.

(11).All restrictions eto. differenciating between Chinese and others are to be abolished (such as on board steamers etc.). Chinese are to be allowed to hold positions as Captains, Matea and Engineers.(i.e. British Officers no longer to be necessary in ships flying the British flag).

SHAMIN

(1). Freedom of the employees to strike and organise their own unions, papers etc. Also to live in the hotel as visitors if they so desire.

(2). All employees to be re-instated. No economic restrictions or political restrictions, such as taking money into or away from shameen.
